If you want to learn to use a rabbit vibrator, you’re in the right place. I’ve spent the last 10+ years working with rabbit vibrators daily, and I’ve tried just about all of them (I love my job).
But today, we’re not talking about me. We’re talking about you and your spankin’ new bunny sex toy.
Luckily, using a rabbit is pretty straightforward. For the most part, you can explore and do what feels good.
However, there can be a bit of a learning curve, especially if you’ve never used a vibrator before.
Rabbits have two vibrating arms, one that penetrates the vagina and one that massages the clitoris.
Getting used to the toy and its intense dual stimulation can take a few tries.
Don’t worry. I’ll guide you through it below, step by step.
I’ll also cover some super satisfying postures and techniques to use with your rabbit vibrator to unlock those massive dual orgasms.
Plus, you’ll learn some safety tips to keep your vulva and your vibrator sparkling clean.
Don’t have a rabbit vibrator yet? No worries! After sharing my tips, I'll recommend some of my favorite rabbits as well as a few additional top-rated toys for dual stimulation.
Let’s hop to it.
Rabbit Vibrator Basics
If you’ve never used a rabbit before, here’s what you need to know about these adorable and dual-stimulating sex toys.
👉 Rabbit vibrators are vibrating sex toys for people with vulvas. They run on batteries, and most are rechargeable via a USB charger.
👉 Unlike standard vibrators, rabbits have two vibrating arms. One internal arm penetrates the vagina and the other external arm stimulates the clit. Each arm has its own motor, and some rabbits allow you to adjust the pattern and intensity of each arm separately.
👉 Rabbit vibrators are dual-stimulation toys, meaning they stimulate two pleasure zones simultaneously. In this case, those zones are the G-spot and the clit.
👉 When you learn how to use a rabbit vibrator the right way, you can give yourself G-spot and clitoral orgasms at the same time. This is called a dual orgasm, and many women consider it to be the most powerful orgasm you can experience.
👉 Rabbits come in many shapes and sizes. Some penetrate deeper, while others put more pressure on the G-spot. Some are thin and easy to maneuver. Others are thick and hefty for those who appreciate a fuller feeling.
👉 You should have a decent understanding of your pleasure, your body, and your sex toy preferences before choosing a rabbit vibrator. If you’re not very familiar with sex toys, you might want to try one of these top first-time sex toys for vulva-havers before advancing to a rabbit vibrator.
👉 You should only buy rabbit vibrators from reputable online retailers like Condomania. We have over 30 years of experience selling condoms, lube, and sex toys. We only work with top brands to prioritize your safety and pleasure above all else.
Read First: Before Using Your Rabbit Vibrator…
I know you’re ready to whip your rabbit out of the box and start vibing. But your rabbit needs a little foreplay before you jump on it.
Here’s how to prepare to play with your rabbit to keep yourself safe and your toy in good condition.
Read the Instructions
There are about 1000 different makes, models, styles, and sizes of rabbit vibrators on the market.
Even if you’ve used one before, you don’t know if your new rabbit has different needs and functions.
So, peruse the instructions on the box and in the user’s manual before switching your bunny vibrator on.
Test the Functions
It’s not a good idea to test a rabbit for the first time while it’s inside you. With your pants still on, switch on the vibrating arms and test out the controls.
You can gauge the intensity of the vibrations by touching the vibrator against your inner arm or thigh, where your skin is extra sensitive.
If your rabbit has any other functions, such as warming or thrusting, try those out too.
Clean that Bunny
Yes, you should clean your rabbit toy before you use it, even if you’ve never used it before. Give it a few sprays with a sex toy cleaner and wipe it down.
Or, wash it with warm water and mild antibacterial soap (such as hand soap). Before washing, check the manual for any special cleaning instructions.
Rabbits contain electronics, so you might need to remove or cover parts of the toy before cleaning.
Break Out the Lube
Don’t even think about putting that vibrator near your vajay without plenty of lube. Lube protects your vagina by reducing friction caused by thrusting and vibrating.
Plus, it makes using a toy much more comfortable and pleasurable. Lube also protects your rabbit’s sensitive material from damage.
In short, lube is a must. I recommend using a water-based lube like Sliquid H2O. Sliquid makes lube from clean, natural ingredients that never irritate me down there.
It’s also super long-lasting, which is nice when you want to take it slow. It’s my personal go-to lube. Some others I like include Pjur Woman Nude and Pink Natural.
Important: Never use silicone lube with your rabbit vibrator. Most vibrators are made of silicone, and silicone lube will damage silicone material.
A damaged rabbit can cause an infection. Stick to water-based lube only.
How to Use a Rabbit Vibrator
Cue the saxophone music… it’s time to use your rabbit vibrator. Here’s how to do it.
1. Lube Up
Apply lube to both arms of the vibrator before turning it on.
Give each arm a rub to make sure the lube covers any part of the toy that will be inside you or in contact with your body.
Next, rub some lube on your vulva. This is also a fun way to start some solo foreplay before the toy gets involved.
2. Warm Up
Just like having sex, you need to warm up with some foreplay to make penetration easier and more pleasurable. Luckily, your rabbit loves foreplay.
Turn the vibration to the lowest setting and explore your nipples, inner thighs, and vulva with the longer vibrating arm.
Rub the rabbit on your clit until you’re feeling wet and ready for more.
3. Insert the Internal Arm
Gently insert the longer vibrating arm into your vagina. The shorter arm should be facing up when you do this.
Make sure the vibration level is low or off during penetration.
There’s no need to penetrate deeply or to rush at this stage. Enjoy the feeling of the vibrator inside you and slowly ease it deeper until you feel it stimulating your G-spot.
As you get comfy with the toy inside you, you can increase the vibration intensity or change the pattern.
4. Rest the External Arm on Your Clit
Once you’re comfortable with the internal arm inside you, focus on resting the external arm on your clit. This can be a bit wonky at first because everyone’s clit is different.
Some prefer stimulation on the left, others on the right, and some like it every which way.
Some rabbits have little bunny ears on the short vibrating arm. These little ears are meant to rest on either side of your clit. This is how the rabbit got its name!
Keep the short arm’s vibration setting low while you find the sweet spot on or around your clit.
Once you’ve found it, you should feel pleasure building both from your clit and your G-spot.
5. Gently Rock the Vibrator
Most rabbits are not meant to be thrust in and out.
Instead, rock the vibrator up and down to push the internal arm against your G-spot while the external arm massages your clit.
If it feels a bit awkward at first, that’s totally normal. It can take a few tries to find the right rhythm for stimulating both areas at once. Don’t give up!
If you’re new to rabbits, things can start to feel pretty intense about now. Dual orgasms will make you lose control, and that can be scary at first.
If you start to feel overwhelmed, go ahead and take a break.
Some women have mind-altering orgasms the first time they use their rabbit. For others, they might not get there until their 10th or 20th session.
The golden rule is: Listen to your body, and do what feels good!
6. Try New Positions
There’s lots you can do with a rabbit to change up your pleasure. If you don’t prefer laying a spread-eagle and giving your wrist a workout, try a few of these rabbit-friendly sex toy positions.
👉 The Sway: You can’t move the vibrator too much while you’re using it or you’ll take the focus off of your G-spot and clit. Instead of moving the toy, try swaying, swiveling, and undulating your hips to work that bunny all around your pleasure zones.
👉 The Grind: Straddle a pillow and put the rabbit inside you. Once you’ve got it positioned, rest the toy’s handle against the pillow to go hands-free. Now, you should be able to ride and grind your rabbit, controlling your pleasure fully with your hips. This position works better with larger rabbits.
👉 The Tag-in: Why should you do all the work? Break out your rabbit with a partner and tell them how you like it. While your partner is hard at work with your bunny, use your hands (or mouth) to explore their body.
7. Clean Up
When you’re finished using your rabbit, you’re probably going to be a hot mess. Go ahead and take a few minutes to safely return to this universe.
But don’t wait too long to clean your rabbit. Sex toys need to be cleaned immediately after use to prevent them from attracting germs.
You should find the cleaning instructions in your rabbit’s user manual or on the package. I’ll go into more detail on how to clean your rabbit vibrator in a minute.

How to Clean a Rabbit Vibrator
Cleaning is the most important factor in sex toy safety, so don’t skip this step.
If your toy gets dirty, it can become infected with mold or bacteria, and that infection can spread to your lady bits. The result is a pretty awkward trip to the doctor.
But don’t worry; it’s really easy to keep your rabbit clean. Just follow these steps.
- Read the cleaning instructions: Each rabbit has slightly different cleaning needs, so you should always read the specific cleaning instructions for your toy. You can usually find them on the product package or in the user’s manual. If you can’t find them, consider writing an email to the manufacturer to ask for cleaning tips.
- Remove electronic parts and/or cover ports: You don’t want to get water on any electronic parts. If your rabbit runs on batteries or a battery pack, remove them (if possible). If it’s rechargeable, make sure the charging port is covered. Most rabbits nowadays are waterproof, so you may not have to worry about any of this.
- Wash gently with warm water and soap: Warm water and a bit of antibacterial soap (such as hand soap) are all you need to clean your rabbit vibrator. Rinse the toy off, give it a gentle scrub with soap and a washcloth, and rinse again. It only takes a few minutes!
- Let it dry in the open: Your rabbit should be completely dry before you put it away. Let it chill in your dish rack or on a shelf until it’s completely dry. Don’t put it directly in the sun. Keep it in a cool, dry place.
You can also use a sex toy cleaner spray to clean your rabbit, which makes it a bit easier.
Sex toy cleaners are specifically made for sex toy hygiene. They also prevent residue buildup on your toy, which can occur if you wash it often with normal soap.
Just spray your toy with a sex toy cleaner to disinfect it. Then, rinse and let it dry. Easy!
How to Store a Rabbit Vibrator
You can store your rabbit almost anywhere, but there are a few places it should never go.
Never keep your rabbit:
👉 In the sun: This can cause your pretty bunny to lose its sheen and may affect its lifespan.
👉 In damp, germy places: Keep your rabbit out of places like the bathroom, where germs might be able to infect it.
👉 With other silicone products: Silicone degrades silicone, so if you have multiple silicone sex toys, don’t store them near each other.
So, where should you keep your rabbit? If your rabbit isn’t shy, keep it in the open, such as on a shelf in your room.
If you want to keep it private, a sock drawer is perfect. I like to store my rabbit in a cloth bag in my nightstand.
Anywhere cool and dry is a suitable spot for your rabbit to live.
Rabbit Vibrator Safety Tips
When used properly, rabbits are extremely safe sex toys. But there are a few simple safety tips you should keep in mind when using or shopping for a rabbit vibrator.
👉 Buy your rabbit from a real brand: I’ve worked with sex toys for long enough to know that there are LOTS of knock-offs and low-quality products out there.
Get your toys from a reputable brand or retailer and NOT from an auction site or random online seller.
Condomania has been selling sex toys for over 30 years, and we only carry medically-tested toys made by top brands.
👉 Clean your rabbit well: Cleaning is the most important part of sex toy safety, so scrub that bunny good before and after use!
👉 Always use lube: Lube protects your vulva and your rabbit when the vibrations are at their most intense. Never use a rabbit—or any sex toy—without a generous dollop of sex lube.
👉 If it looks or smells funny, don’t use it: If your rabbit has discolored or degraded patches on it, the silicone might be damaged.
This can create porous areas where bacteria and mold thrive. If your toy smells funny, that might mean it’s already become infected.
In these cases, your rabbit is not safe to use. Your safest option is to retire it and get a new one.
👉 If it hurts or feels uncomfortable, stop: If you don’t feel good using your rabbit, never force it. Just stop and try again another day.
Apply more lube, and spend more time on foreplay. If it still doesn’t feel good, the rabbit may be too big for you.
Or, you may not be a rabbit person, which is fine! There are plenty of other sex toys to explore.
