Step 1: Measure Your Penis
To find your shoe size, you measure your foot. To find your condom size, you’ve got to unzip and whip out the measuring tape.
To properly measure your penis, you’ll need to record its length and girth.
Here’s how to do it:
First, you have to get an erection. Watch some adult entertainment to get in the mood, or better yet, ask your partner for a hand.
To measure length: Use a ruler or measuring tape to measure from the base of the penis to the tip. Remember to measure from where the shaft begins at the pubic bone. You might have to press into the skin a bit to get an accurate measure.
To measure the girth: Wrap a measuring tape around the thickest part of your shaft. If you don’t have a measuring tape, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a ruler.
Write down your measurements. It’s time to do a bit of condom math.

However, condoms aren’t sized according to penis size—they follow their own measurement system.
Condoms are measured by lie-flat length and width, meaning the condom is fully unrolled and laid flat before measuring. This gives the length from tip to base and the width across one side, not the circumference.
